We had a great wonderful Ben10 Birthday Party for my 2-year old son.. and it was a blast. I'm not going to write a "How To" instruction on this blog, but what I'm trying to publish is how have I done it, and love every bits of the details!
1. The theme
It was my elder son that was proposing the theme, as he is reserving the Transformer theme for his December party. As the birthday boy is too small to decide, and he does love Ben10 .. the theme is just perfect for him. Hence, been sending invations early stressing on the theme.. It was a great success.. most of the kids came in dressing up in Ben10s, and those who were not, still sticked Ben10 stickers on them... Cool...
2. The party pack
- Ben10 laser light - kindly sponsored by my sister
- Ben10 stationery - another sponsored item by my sister (the laser light is so cheap that she has the budget for another item)
- Ben10 door hanger to be decorated during the party - there's a two-side of it where the boys can pick Ben as their door sign while the girls can pick Gwen's.
- Thank you card with a snap-short about the birthday boy
3. The decoration
It was supposed to be greens and blacks everywhere. To bad that the tent provider did not have the green scallop we were looking for, so, at the 11th hour, we end up with all-white scallops. Anyhow, the field is green.. And so did the tissues, the balloons, and we were all dressed in greens..
The cookies with Ben10 theme, and stated "Ben-aimar is two" was the best decorative cookies ever.. It was beautiful, and delicious as well...
The party hats and the poppers were also Ben10s.Of course, the inflatable that I've rent from http://www.playlend.com/ at a great bargain definitely the highlights of the party. It was so cool, that all the kids were asking for the parents that they need to have that for their party as well.
The Ben10 cake, courtesy from my cousins brought the meaning to the Ben10 birthday party.
4. The games- The must-have musical chair
- The 'poisonous plastic' where I've put few cards with some tasks like the kids were asked to sing, dance to Ben10 theme song, act like Ben10 alien etc.
- The "where's the omnitric" - the pin the tail to the poney of Ben10 version
- Collect as many Omnitrix as possible
It's a simple and nice food, courtesies of all my favourite aunties and mum. They cooked and made the food from scratch, and it was really time consuming. But all the guests love the food, very much.
My dad introduced a unique "ice-cream goyang" and don't ask me how that is.. I just can't describe.. But it was great.. a real treat for a hot sunny kids' party.
All in all, everybody loves the party and the theme was great. Thank you all.
